Richard Epley

CEO

Richard Epley founded Auto Financial Group (AFG) in 1999 and currently serves as the CEO. His vision for a scalable business model that utilized technology to facilitate transactions was realized in DrivingSense™, AFG’s residual-based finance product that allows credit union members to customize a vehicle, compare payments with a loan calculator and access electronic loan documents. Epley continues to be responsible for AFG’s daily operations. Over the past decade with AFG, Epley has developed an understanding of the needs of credit unions and their members. His experience and knowledge have been instrumental in developing products that meet those needs. Epley is also a co-founder in FI-MOBILE, a company that develops intuitive, cost effective solutions for credit unions and banks to quickly and easily offer mobile applications for their members and customers. Richard received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995. He is a Carousel Board Member for the Texas Children’s Hospital and a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Tim Kelly

President

Tim Kelly has over 20 years experience delivering solutions to financial institutions. Most recently Tim was the CEO of Teres Solutions. After the acquisition of Teres by CRIF S.p.A he was promoted to President of CRIF Lending Solutions where he led the company through multiple acquisitions and integration. Tim also served as Vice President of business development for Harland Financial Solutions’ UltraData-Enterprise system. During his 10 year tenure with UltraData, he spearheaded key sales initiatives and contributed significantly to profitability and growth. Harland Financials marquee technology solution, the UltraData-Enterprise system, is one of the leading credit union core systems in the industry. Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas State University (1983). Tim is a student of his customers, profession, and industry.

Wayne Huckabee

VP of Accounting

Wayne Huckabee has over twenty years experience as a financial controller. Prior to joining Auto Financial Group, Wayne was in the mortgage industry, working for a loan servicer, ranked 9th largest in the nation by servicing volume, with 1500 employees, and also for a federal bank with 49 branch bank locations. Responsibilites at both of these locations included developing IT improvements which greatly benefited the organizations, such as a FNMA & FHLMC loss claim filing process, the installation and conversion of a mortgage underwriting system, and the first time development for the company to electronically submit its branch bank’s loan closing packages, to the headquarters bank. During the savings and loans crisis of the late 80s and early 90s, Wayne was employed by a consulting firm, managing thirty-three employees, responsible for the accounting and asset liquidation, including litigation resolutions, for numerous east coast S&Ls. Wayne received his accounting degree from the University of Houston. He taught accounting six years part time, at the junior college level. He has also served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve, attaining the rank of Captain.

Peggy McCaslin

Vice President & Director, Balloon Lending Program

As Vice President and Director of the Balloon Lending program, Peggy McCaslin brings 39 years experience in Public Relations, Sales & Marketing to the Auto Financial Group team. Her diverse background includes stints as an International Marketing & Research Director for a national department store buying syndicate, Commercial and Corporate Real Estate Property Management and Sales in FL, PA, and NJ, and as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for a $100,000,000+ Industrial Supplies Distribution Company in PA. Since 1999, McCaslin has provided consultative management services to credit unions on balloon note vehicle financing in the capacity of National Account Manager, Regional Manager and currently as Vice President & Director of the DrivingSense™ program.

Holly Bentley

Territory Account Manager

Holly Bentley oversees the Lender Account Managers as the National Lender Territory Manager for Auto Financial Group. With a background in Consumer Lending at Wachovia and HSBC Beneficial Finance, Holly contributes 17 years of experience to AFG. Her experience includes mortgage and automotive lending, credit counseling, business development, account management, and staff training. Most recently Holly worked successfully as a Finance Advisor in a virtual F&I office, using Dealertrack to help borrowers refinance their “off lease” vehicles through varied lenders. Holly’s passion for AFG’s programs keep her team motivated to continuously develop business by adding new lenders to AFG’s portfolio of partners. Holly’s team is dedicated to delivering the highest level of customer service both during onboarding and through ongoing training of partners to set them up for success with AFG’s programs.

Tim Burns

Dealer Territory Account Manager

Tim Burns is the National Dealer Territory Manager for Auto Financial Group (AFG).  He has more than 20 years of business to business sales experiences with 10 plus years in automobile finance.  Before joining AFG, he held various management positions with Credit Union Acceptance Company (CUAC) a division of CU Alliance LLC. The majority of his indirect automotive lending tenure has been in dealer relations with oversight over emerging regions across the country.  Before working in indirect automotive lending, he was a successful sales consultant for Pitney Bows Mailing System where he sold complex logistical solution and mailing equipment to industries of various types.  He holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Directing from Texas State University (1993).

Paul Marquez

Director of Remarketing & Client Relations

Paul Marquez is AFG’s Director of Remarketing & Client Relations. In this position, Paul oversees the remarketing department and helps guide business development to expand into new markets. Marquez brings to the management team over 19 years of experience in the financial and remarketing fields where he combined passion and skill to drive sales, leadership, and efficient results. Marquez has proven himself as an accomplished leader and innovator with nine years as Auction Remarketing Manager at HSBC, one of the top five financial firms in the world, and most recently serving as President and CEO of Countrywide Utility Billing Systems.

Monica Mendoza

Director of Marketing

Monica Mendoza leads all marketing initiatives at AFG. Monica brings seven years of experience in B2B marketing, with significant expertise in implementing marketing automation programs and digital marketing strategies. Monica started her marketing career at Elsevier, a top scientific publisher, where she spearheaded key digital initiatives. After moving to Houston, Monica worked in the petrochemicals sector as well as in the oil and gas industry where she implemented revenue-driving digital marketing campaigns. Monica holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Boston University as well as a Master of English and German Literature degree from the University of Tübingen.
