Richard
Epley, President
Richard Epley has served as President of Auto Financial
Group since he founded the company in 1999. His vision for
a scalable business model that utilized technology to facilitate
transactions was realized in Driving Sense, AFG's residual-based
finance product that allows credit union members to customize
a vehicle, compare payments with a loan calculator and access
electronic loan documents. Epley continues to be responsible
for AFG's daily operations.
Over the past decade with AFG, Epley has developed an understanding
of the needs of credit unions and their members. His experience
and knowledge have been instrumental in developing products
that meet those needs. Epley is a co-founder of Standard
Finance, a Dallas-based company that provides financial
institutions with solutions to increase lease and loan receivables
Prior to founding Auto Financial Group, Epley originated
residential loans for Republic State Mortgage in Houston,
Texas. As a loan officer in 1999, he increased his production
to over ten million dollars in just nine months. He is a Carousel
Board Member for the Texas Children's Hospital and a Life
Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Richard received
a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin
in 1995.
Dave
Langley, Vice President Operations
Dave Langley brings 35 years of experience in the new car
industry to AFG. Langley developed national remarketing programs
for companies that include Volkswagen of America, Saab Financial
Services and Honda Financial Services. He spearheaded the
formation of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance,
serving as its President from 1997 to 2003.
Industry awards include the National Auto Auction Hall of
Fame (2005), the Conference of Automotive Remarketers Consignor
of the Year (2005), and Used Car News Mover & Shaker (1995).
Peggy
McCaslin, Vice President & Director, DrivingSense
Program
As Vice President and Director of the DrivingSense™ program, McCaslin brings 39 years experience in Public Relations, Sales & Marketing to the Auto Financial Group team.
Her diverse background includes stints as an International Marketing & Research Director for a national department store buying syndicate, Commercial and Corporate Real Estate Property Management and Sales in FL, PA, and NJ, and as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for a $100,000,000+ Industrial Supplies Distribution Company in PA.
Since 1999, McCaslin has provided consultative management services to credit unions on balloon note vehicle financing in the capacity of National Account Manager, Regional Manager and currently as Vice President & Director of the DrivingSense™ program.
David Ruggles, Vice President Dealer Initiatives
A former dealer-owner and consultant with 40 years’ experience in the auto industry, Ruggles has consulted and trained in hundreds of U.S. dealerships and conducted a annual seminars on auto dealership issues and processes in Japan since 1993.
Ruggles also conceived specialty software focused on pre-owned leasing and consulted in its development. Known for "The Ruggles Report" and regular columns in Wards Dealer Business and Auto Finance News, he is a member of the International Motor Press Association and frequent speaker at industry conferences and events. Andrew Priest
Andy Priest co-founded TRE Financial Services (formerly
Tax Refund Express) in 1990 and currently serves as CEO. It
was through his vision and leadership that TRE Financial Services
has grown to over two hundred employees with business throughout
the United States. TRE Financial Services has been recognized
as the largest tax filing service bureau in the nation from
1994-1996.
Andy received a B.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in organizational
communications from the University
of Texas at Austin
in 1989.
Arthur Wilson
Epley III
Arthur Epley has 41 years of professional experience building
profitable, high technology companies, managing rapid growth,
and expanding into international markets. He successfully
founded and built two companies which later merged into public
companies.
Arthur is currently a private investor and rancher. He also
serves as a member of several corporate boards and is a trustee
of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
